If you haven’t thought about it, it would benefit you to start thinking about what gives you pleasure. Research has shown that not only does pleasure heed off emotional illness, it also contributes to human development. Sensory experience is a stimulus to human development. Our sense of touch, smell, taste, and sight helps our brains develop in a healthy manner. ”When humans are stimulated through taste or smell, large portions of the brain become activated.”
When creating your list of pleasures think about the times you have been happy. Then think about the specifics of why these moments were pleasurable. Think of your sense of taste, smell, touch, and sight. How were your senses affected in these moments?
